The 2.4kW Aurora Wi-Fi Remote Controllable Infrared Bar Heater with Motion Sensor from Mirrorstone Heating is a powerful and innovative heater for any space.
Made from solid aluminium, this 970mm x 160mm x 80mm model uses a carbon fibre heating element. Powered by 2.4kW, it is recommended to be fixed higher up onto a wall or ceiling as it reaches higher surface temperatures of 200 - 300°C. It will easily heat a large area of 33 – 38m². Using your remote, you can choose from four distinct heating levels (25%, 50%, 75% and 100%) in addition to different goal temperatures. This lets you choose between different intensities of heat and power consumption, giving you even more control over how your heating feels, and how much it costs to run.
For extra flexibility, this heater comes equipped with an integrated motion sensor, with a 3m range. This sensor will turn off the heater off if it detects no movement for 2 minutes, meaning you won't have to stress about leaving your heating running by accident.
This unit is protected with an IP65 rating so it is suitable for all weather types without the need for any covers.
Please note that the advised heated areas are for guidance only. For a more accurate heated area that is more relevant to your home, please either use our Calculator located at the top of this page, or speak to one of our Customer Services advisors about your room.
When using this heater with a standard 13A socket, we recommend hard wiring the heater directly to the mains supply.
What Can IR Heating Do For You?
There are so many beneficial reasons to invest in our heaters and we’re going to break them down for you.
With incredible energy efficiency, our IR panels will only use a small fraction of electrical input compared to regular convectors. On average, they use about 50% less energy and also have a much more even spread of heat across any area.
By demanding less energy, IR saves you tonnes of money on your electric bills. With money-saving features – like timers or temperature control – you can keep saving further when they are in use.
Last, but certainly not least, IR has a unique way of spreading heat which is via beams. As the heat is in these electromagnetic waves, your walls remain dry and reduce the risk of mould growing and spreading.
Near IR Heating Explained
Broadly speaking, there are two different types of Infrared heater: Far and Near. The majority of our panels employ Far Infrared heating but our Aurora range uses Near Infrared.
Operating closer to the red end of the spectrum, Near IR heaters can be characterised by the orange glow of their filament when they are on.
Popular for commercial outdoor heaters, due to their high temperature output, they can always be used for domestic purposes.
Wi-Fi Control From Your Smartphone
This model comes with Wi-Fi connectivity built-in to use as soon as it comes out of the box.
All you will need to do is download the Smart Life app on your iOS or Android device, connect the app to the bar heater and you are good to go!
You can use the numerous features such as a 7-day timer, an hourly timer function, multiple zone control and even share these with your family by adding them into your virtual house.
You can find all of the relevant information in our manual today.
Remote Controllable

Being fully remote controllable, it is incredibly easy to use your heater and the IR signal remote itself is super-slim and looks very modern.
You can adjust the temperature with ease at any time so you feel comfortable. There are other fab features including a child lock, an automatic temperature control and a motion sensor option so that it turns off when no motion is detected.
There is also a holder included in the box for you to mount onto any surface too so it has its own little home inside yours.
Easy Installation
Without having to call upon an expensive professional, you can install this unit yourself as a DIY job. It will only take a few minutes to complete and everything you need is included in the box.
Coming to you with the brackets you need, you will need to drill two onto the wall and affix two onto the rear of the heater. They are also adjustable so you can direct the heating to any space you want.
