How Infrared Works

You can adjust your goal temperature as well as turn the heater on and off, no matter where you are, as long as you have a signal. You’ll also be able to set various timers through meaning you can have your heater come on automatically when it’s most convenient to you.

Keep Things Simple With A Remote

Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.

Understand Your Panel

Our Nexus heaters all come with a small LED light in the bottom right-hand corner which emits a bright blue light. This has been put in place to guide you as to whether or not your heater is switched on or off.

This comes in particularly useful when you’re using automated temperature control as this causes your panel to turn on and off. With the light, you can see whether your panel is beaming out radiant IR heat, so you know not to touch your heater.

We opted for an LED as these have an extensive lifespan, closely matching the 25-year lifespan of our panels.
