Making the most of your Ionis Infrared Bar Heater has never been easier, thanks to the remote control bundled with all Wi-Fi models! Here’s a quick step-by-step for everything your remote control can do.
Before You Start
The first thing is to make sure that your Ionis Bar Heater is remote controllable. If it has a red LED indicator, then unfortunately it’s a standard model. If it has an LED display however, you’re good to go.
Switching Your Ionis Heater On/Off
Use the On/Off button on your remote control to switch your heater on. The LED screen will switch on when the Bar Heater is on. Simply press the On/Off button again to turn your bar heater off.
Adjusting Your Target Temperature
Press the Temp. button on your remote - you’ll see a temperature on your bar heater screen flashing. You can now use the Up and Down buttons to adjust your target temperature in 1 degree increments. To save your settings, just leave your bar heater for a few seconds.
Adjusting Your Timer Settings
Press the Timer button on your remote. You’ll see a flashing “24H” on your bar heater screen. From here, you can use the Up and Down buttons on your remote to adjust the time you’d like your bar heater to remain on for, in 1 hour increments.
To save your settings, simply leave the bar heater for a few seconds.
Enabling Child Lock Mode
To lock all the buttons on your bar heater and remote, press the Set button, followed quickly by the Child Lock button. You’ll see a padlock icon on your bar heater screen to tell you that Child Lock is enabled.
To unlock your bar heater, simply press Set followed by Child Lock again.
Eco Mode
To switch to Eco mode, press the Set button twice on your remote control. This will switch your bar heater screen off, even if it’s beaming out heat.
To switch the screen back on, simply press the Set button once.
Switching Between High Power & Low Power
Pressing the High/Low switch button switches between full power and half power. When the bar heater is set to 100% power, the circle around the edge of the display will be full, and there will be a full sun icon on your bar heater screen.
When the bar heater is set to 50% power, the circle around the edge of the display will be partially full, and there will be a half sun icon on your bar heater screen.
Toggling The Motion Sensor
To switch the motion sensor on, press the Set button, quickly followed by the Up button. You’ll see a ‘person’ icon appear on your bar heater screen, indicating that it’s on.
To switch the motion sensor off, simply press the Set button followed by the Up button again.
Resetting The Wi-Fi Settings
To reset your Wi-Fi settings and put your bar heater back into pairing mode, press the Set button, quickly followed by the Down button.
After a few seconds, you’ll see the Wi-Fi symbol on your bar heater begin to flash, indicating that your bar heater is now in pairing mode.
