Beyond the relative safety of a rocky cliff face lies in plain view, the playing field for man’s greatest challenges from both the past, and in the future.
The frontier of space is a vast cauldron of stars, planets, gas clouds and of course the cold vacuum of nothingness between all those things – a most brutal and savage place.
From the safety of our home planet however, it appears as still and as peaceful as a lake in the middle of the night – with the Milky Way itself a splendorous site.
The beautiful image of our home galaxy that’s printed on our 600 x 600 Milky Way Printed Infrared Heating Panel masks the product’s true purpose – to provide 350w of clean and healthy infrared heat.
The 595 x 595mm sized panel heater fires out a series of infrared waves that heat surface area, as opposed to volume of space like conventional radiators. This means they use considerably less energy compared to convection heaters, saving you money off your bills.
Despite the 115°C surface temperature, the PET (polyethylene terephthalate) material that covers the panel ensures that it remains safe to touch even when it’s on.
Depending on your choice of decor and personal taste, you can pick from a white, silver or black frame, and mount it to a wall in a small bedroom.
With free shipping available, and further discounts on offer through our offers and promotions list, there’s little reason to delay purchasing your panel.
The Wider Selection
One of the great things about our wider range of image IR panel heaters is that they help blend in your heater with the wider decoration of your room. It would simply appear as a framed image on a wall to someone who was none the wiser.
The wonder of our Milky Way image can also be found in a frameless variant too, resulting in a minimalist look. It retains the same specs as its framed counterpart, but stays 5°C cooler at 110°C surface temperature.
Determining The Right Number Of IR Panels
Calculating how many panels you need for any given room is easier than you might imagine – all it requires it a tape measure, a calculator and some knowledge as to how well insulated your property is.
You start out by measuring the length, width and height of the room in metres. Then, by multiplying the 3 numbers together, you can work out the volume in cubic metres (or m³).
Then, depending on how well insulated your home is, you can get a rough estimation of the amount of heat you need. The table below illustrates this.
Level of Insulation | Wattage per m3 Required |
Well Insualted (built post 1980, or has recently been reinsulated) | 20w per m³ |
Moderately insulated (built between 1930-1980) | 25W per m³ |
Poorly insulated (built prior to 1930) | 30W per m³ |
Multiplying the recommended wattage per cubic meter by the volume of the room gives the total wattage requirement for the room. From here, you can work out how many panels you need.
Saving Money With Infrared Heating
Infrared heaters work in a fundamentally different way to the normal convection heaters that we’re used to.
Instead of heating the air around you, our panels fire infrared waves everywhere that heat up the surface area of the objects in the room. It takes less energy to heat surface area than it does volume of space, as there is less of it.
What this means for you is lower electricity bills.
Healthy Heat With IR Panels
The problem with convection currents is that they circulate warm air around a room, which in turn circulates dust, germs and mites. This is an issue for people who suffer from respiratory problems.
Not only this, but warm air also carries moisture, which could lead to dampness on your walls.
Infrared heaters provide a much healthier kind of heat. It doesn’t create any stuffiness, and is natural too – infrared is the same type of heat emitted by the sun.
Discreet Heating Panels
Another great advantage of our image infrared panels is that you can’t tell it’s a panel heater – unlike a normal radiator which stands out because of where it is and what it looks like.
Our infrared panels can be mounted on the wall, and given that it has a printed image on it, the untrained eye would see it as a framed picture.
You can even go one step further and get your own images printed on them, adding a personal touch.
14 Day Home Trial Period
All our panels, with the exception of custom printed IR panels, come with a 14 day home trial period. This means that you can get a full refund or exchange if you’re not happy with anything.
Just send the panel back in the original packaging with all the contents in condition fit for sale. Once we have it back, we’ll start processing your return.
Any unlikely faults beyond this are covered by Mirrorstone's 5 year replacement warranty.
